Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

This is the fudgiest chcolate cookie known to mankind. The cookie dough is super rich and chocolatey but there are semi-sweet chcolate swirls all throughout the cookie. It’s a chocolate lover’s dream cookie. Measure one cup of all-purpose flour in a mixing bowl along with a third cup of cocoa powder, a quarter teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of baking powder.

Gently sift those ingredients into a bowl and set them aside for later. In a separate bowl add a third of a cup of unsalted melted butter along with half a cup of granulated sugar and half a cup of brown sugar. Using a whisk, thoroughly mix the sugar and melted butter together then add a teaspoon of vanilla extract and one large egg plus one large egg yolk into the sugar and mix it really well.

You want the consistency to be very smooth. Add the sifted dry ingredients into the butter and sugar mixture and mix gently with a spatula. Before adding one cup of chcolate chips, scoop a quarter of it and set aside, you will use the latter when topping the cookies before baking. Mix the chcolate chips into the cookie dough as early as possible. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop the cookie dough lining them onto your baking sheet.

Make sure you space them at least two inches apart. Roll each cookie dough and top them with a few of the reserved chcolate chips. Bake them in a preheated 350F oven for about 10 to 12 minutes. Once baked, let them cool slightly before enjoying them. If you love cookies, these cookies are going to be your next best friend.
