Caviar Recipes – Good Flavorful Goodies to Be Had

Caviar recipes are wonderful, because they can be so simple, and yet the flavorful experience can speak profound volumes. I thought I might write up a couple here, so I do hope you enjoy them with friends and loved ones, because like other rich experiences, these are best when shared. Whenever you try out any caviar recipes, keep in mind that all caviar should be stored in refrigeration between 26-36 degrees Fahrenheit for the best quality and that though some kinds it’s okay too, most types should never be frozen. If frozen, once thawed, caviar should never be refrozen. Okay, let’s get into a couple of yummy caviar recipes…

Caviar on halved eggs

You will need;
6 tablespoons of caviar
6 hard-boiled eggs
1 tablespoon each of parsley, chives (both freshly chopped), and sour cream
1 teaspoon of freshly cracked (or ground) black peppercorns

As you can see, the ingredients in the first of these caviar recipes are just a few. After shelling the eggs, cut them in half lengthwise, the same as you would do for making deviled eggs. Also similar to such preparation, take out the yolks and mash them well in a small bowl, combining them with the chives, parsley, sour cream and cracked peppercorns. Heap spoonfuls of this into the hard-boiled egg white halves, leaving a dent in the top of the small heaps with the back of the spoon, and into these little dents, place a dollop of caviar. Creamy caviar dip

You will need;

3 & ½ ounces of black caviar
24 ounces of room temperature cream cheese
1 & ½ cups of sour cream
3 yolks from hard-boiled eggs
1 golf ball-sized onion, finely minced
2 tablespoons of freshly chopped chives
1/2 cup of finely minced parsley

Beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer set on low until smooth. Toss in 2/3 of the sour cream (setting aside the rest), chives, onions, and salt and pepper until it’s all mixed in. Now taking a rubber spatula, carefully fold in the caviar. Scoop onto the center of a serving plate, and surround it on the plate with anything you like – toast pieces, crackers, blini, raw veggies, or anything you would poke into dip… serves 8-12.
