Chicken Steak and Shrimp Fajitas Recipe. Fajitas are a big deal in Mexico, and the authentic ones are much more about layered flavors than the yellow cheeses and sour creams you’ll find in their Tex-Mex variety. This is an authentic shrimp fajitas recipe from real Mexican cuisine, and it consists of three primary chapters: making a garnish, cooking a few shrimp, and whipping up some salsa to dress the fajitas.
This dish can seem hot due to the chile serrano, so leave that out if you’re intolerant toward spicy foods, but authentic Mexican food is known for its chilies, so I really advise you to keep them in the dish, if you’re going for that authentic Mexican touch here, for an authentic fajitas recipe! The Ingredients You Need (serves 4):
four tortillas (corn)
10 shrimp (size: medium)
a bit of olive oil
half a medium sized onion
two garlic cloves
1 chile serrano
1 bell pepper
Jugo Maggie or any type of Worcestershire sauce

1) Heat up a pan for making your garnish (a medium size one).
The stove should be on between med and low, a let the pan heat up while doing the following:
2) Make your garnish:
Cut the one bell pepper into long strips, and then place them into a bowl.
Cut up onion, then place it all in a bowl with bell pepper slices.
Dice the two garlic cloves, then add to the same bowl.
Cut 6 slivers off your serrano pepper, comprising about a quarter of the total chile pepper and add to the same bowl.
Mix 2 tbsp olive oil into the bowl, thoroughly.
Clean, peel, and devein your shrimp.
Add three squirts of Worcestershire sauce to bowl, then dump it all into the pan from step 1 (the preheated one) and sauté that mixture on medium heat. Do this until the onions are a golden brown color and the entire things smells delicious (which it will!) This should take roughly six minutes, so while you’re waiting, go on to step three.
When 6 minutes are up and the mix has finished sautéing, add your shrimp to this mix to cook them with everything else. These shrimp should cook fairly fast (< 2 minutes), so make sure you don’t burn them by leaving them on too long. Read: Shrimp Recipes Grilled
3) While your garnish is sautéing in the pan, prepare your pico de gallo salsa using a recipe for it (easy to find them online).
Once you’ve made it, check on your garnish and shrimp to see how they’re doing.
4) Warm tortillas in another pan on a stove, remove, then garnish each with your shrimp mix, and finish each by dressing with your pico de gallo salsa.
